The Tumblr Exodus PART 2

Posted by GhastlyH - December 8th, 2018

So as we saw in the first part of this story, two drawings that are objectively the same end up getting different results when reviewed by humans at Tumblr after being flagged by their Porn Seeking Bots. Neither picture was sexually explicit but one was okay and the other was banned.

But things get even weirder.

Here is a another picture from my Tumblr art blog that the Bots flagged as porn. Upon review by an actual human it was deemed that this picture was in compliance with Tumblr's new Adult Content Policy. This picture is NOT banned.

Now this drawing is a lot more sexual than either of the previous two drawings but remember THIS drawing is COMPLIANT with Tumblr's new Adult Content Policy. It was approved by the HUMAN that reviewed it.

Now let's look at another picture that was sent for human review.

This image was deemed after HUMAN review to be NOT compliant with Tumblr's Adult Content Policy. It is the least sexually explicit of the 4 images I've given as an example in these post. In fact if was probably one of the least sexually explicit images of any of the drawings in my art blog. This drawing however is banned under Tumblr's new Adult Content Policy. It, like the other 4 images I've used as an example were all reviewed by HUMAN eyes after being flagged by a bot and the results of this critical human review was completely and wholely inconsistent.

And that's why I ended up hunting for a new place to host my art blog. Policy is policy, I get that and Tumblr has every right to determine what content they want on their site, I get that too. But the policy needs to be consistent. The bans can't be arbitrary and based on the personal tastes of the people judging the content.

A drawing of a fully clothed dick-girl is considered unacceptable. A drawing a The Dick-Girl Grimace coyly presenting her backside to the Hamburglar for a sound robble-robbling is considered acceptable. There is no consistency in how the policy is put into effect. There seems to be no consistency is what the policy even means. I can't run an art blog if I have no idea what the rules are. Best to look for a place that simply allows me to post hentai in the first place.
